"Art For The Eyes” is created when artist/optician R.E.Saintsing designs a new signature piece of work. Drawings are etched and carved into acrylic panels or lens blanks originally manufactured for eyeglass production. Prescription lenses and cast acrylic are transformed into collectables by using the tools found on an optician’s bench. No stencils or airbrushes are used to produce these pieces.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and this is an art form to be visually admired. These hand crafted carvings and etchings in cast acrylic panels and spectacle lenses have been given by the artist and used by recipients as hanging ornaments, decorations, and sun-catchers, or simply displayed and appreciated on mantels or desktops for years. After years of urging from family and friends Bob would like to share these wonderful gift ideas with all.

“I like to think of myself as an optical artist. I work in a visual medium of plastics and acrylics and the ability to see through my canvas brings a little more depth and creativity to the images. I’ve enjoyed working with these materials but I haven't completely abandoned my trusty pen".

“ I hope everyone visiting my website can see the
simple beauty in things as I have interpreted them. Enjoy!"
